Melissa grew up in South Florida, surrounded by the vibrant rhythms and rich traditions of Latin culture. My love for Salsa dancing began in the early 2000s, and it quickly evolved from a personal passion into a lifelong career.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of opening three Salsa dance studios in Florida and one in Texas. With a degree in kinesiology, I bring a deep understanding of movement and body mechanics to my teaching. This allows me to help my students not only learn to dance but also feel confident and connected to their bodies.

I specialize in teaching Salsa to adults, and nothing brings me more joy than sharing the energy, beauty, and cultural richness of Latin dance with others. For me, dancing isn’t just about the steps—it’s about connecting with the music, the culture, and a community of people who share the same passion.

Gabe began his dance journey in 2005 at a local club, where his natural talent and dedication quickly set him apart. What started as social dancing soon turned into a passion for teaching, and by 2007 he had advanced enough to take over the very class that was being taught at the club where he started.

That same year, Gabe met Melissa Albertson of Salsafix and attended a musicality workshop that would change the direction of his dance career. It was there that he fell in love with L.A.-style Salsa and developed a deep appreciation for musicality, technique, and precision.

Gabe continued his growth as a student at Salsafix, rapidly mastering advanced techniques and refining his teaching skills. His commitment, knowledge, and ability to connect with students led him to become a head instructor for Salsafix Dance Studios in San Antonio.

Since 2008, Gabe has been teaching alongside Melissa, bringing years of experience, passion, and musical understanding to every class. Known for his clear instruction and strong technique, Gabe is dedicated to helping students grow confidently while truly understanding the music and movement behind Salsa.
